The Washington Nationals defeated the Atlanta Braves, 3-0, on Tuesday night, helping them wrap-up the 2014 National League East title, their second in the last three years.

2014 will mark the second time that the Nationals will appear in postseason play, after moving to Washington from Montreal in 2005.

Washington is currently 87-63, good enough for the best record in the National League, one-and-a-half games in front of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are 86-65.
