Ragin' Cajun senior pitcher Matt Hicks is one of 20 players in college baseball nominated for the 2014 Premiere player of College Baseball.

Past winners of the award include LSU pitcher Kevin Gausman, North Carolina 3B Colin Moran, and Indiana first baseman Alex Dickerson.

The 2014 Premiere Player of College Baseball award is based solely on fan votes. The top 5 vote getters are invited to a charitable dinner that benefits the Premier Players Sports Foundation, as well as other nonprofits with a specific focus on orphaned, foster care, and special needs children.
