Victor Butler

Free agent linebacker Victor Butler, who has played all four years of his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys, will visit the New Orleans Saints on Thursday.

The 25-year old Butler, who was selected in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Cowboys, played his college football at Oregon St.

Butler accumulated 89 tackles and 11 sacks in a reserve role over the last four years with the Cowboys, including 25 tackles and three sacks in two starts in 2012, playing for new Saints' defensive coordinator Rob Ryan in Dallas.

The Saints, who are shifting to a new 3-4 defensive scheme under Ryan, are searching for another pass rushing specialist.

Butler, who is 6-foot-2, and weighs 245 pounds, recently visited the Pittsburgh Steelers.
