Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns guard Keke Veal has been named the Louisiana Sportswriters' Association Player of the Week.

Veal has now scored in double figures in 25 consecutive games after double digit performances against Alcorn State and Appalachian State.  For the week she averaged 16 points per game and 3.5 rebounds.  She also had nine steals, including a career-tying six against App State.

She's the first Cajun to be honored by the LSWA this season.

The Cajuns take on defending tournament champion Little Rock Thursday and travel to Arkansas State, tied with the Cajuns for first place, on Saturday.
