Junior Jordan Wallace, a right-hander on Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team, has been named to the Top 50 "Watch Lis" for the 2014 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, as announced by USA Softball on Wednesday.

After going 27-2 with a 2.26 ERA., including a season-opening 23-game win streak as a freshman in 2012, the Weatherford, Texas native went 32-9 with a 1.70 ERA. last year, along with 382 strikeouts, the second most in a single season in school history.

Wallace finished the season ranked third nationally in strikeouts, sixth in strikeouts per seven innings, seventh in wins, tenthin hits allowed per seven innings, and eleventhin shutouts.

For her career, Wallace is an amazing 59-11 with a 1.90 ERA.

The Top 25 Finalists for the 2014 Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award, which is given out by the National Governing Body for softball in the United States, will be announced April 9.

The field will then be cut to the Top 10 Finalists on May 7 and then the Top 3 Finalists on May 21.

The 2014 USA Collegiate Player of the Year will be announced on May 27, prior to the start of the 2014 NCAA Women's College World Series (WCWS) in Oklahoma City.

Wallace and Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns will open their 2014 regular season schedule on Friday, February 7, when they take on Northern Iowa and Texas in the 2014 Louisiana Classics.
