ULM Eliminates Troy From SBC Tourney

Janet Salanoa homered twice, drove in three runs and scored three times as #7 seed Louisiana-Monroe scored eight unanswered runs to rally from a two run deficit to defeat #6 seed Troy 10-4 in an elimination game in day two of the Sun Belt Conference Softball Tournament in Boca Raton, FL.

The Warhawks (25-25) trailed 4-2 after three innings, but scored twice in the fourth, three times in the fifth and three times in the sixth to advance, where they will take on the loser of tonight's game between #1 Louisiana and #5 WKU.

Jessica Chastka (1-3) pitched 4.1 innings of shutout ball to get the win in relief.  Ashley Rainey (17-13) took the loss for Troy, who finished the season at 31-24.
