UL Women’s Basketball Hosts LSU-Shreveport

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team plays their 2012-2013 home opener on Monday night, when coach Gary Brodhead's squad plays host to the LSU-Shreveport Lady Pilots, in non-conference action at Earl K. Long Gym.

Louisiana defeated Southern, 71-69, in their season opener last Friday, to begin the season at 1-0.

Ashley Benjamin led the Cajuns in scoring in the win, with 19 points, while Keke Veal and Byronesha Santiago added 14 apiece.

LSU-Shreveport, an NAIA school, is 2-0 on the young season, and coming off of a 78-44 win over Dallas Christian College last Saturday.

Tip-off time is set for 7 o'clock.
