Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team fell in Sun Belt Conference action on Wednesday night, dropping a 76-39 decision to the Denver Pioneers, at Earl K. Long Gym.

The loss was the 12th-straight for Louisiana, while Denver ran it's current win streak to six.

The Pioneers led it a halftime, 38-24, and held UL to 15 points in the second half, to take home the 37-point win.

Denver out-shot the Cajuns from the field, 49%-27%, including 12-of-22 from behind the three-point arc, and out-rebounded the Cajuns by a 44-31 count.

Senior forward Kaetlyn Murdoch led the way for Denver, with a game-high 23 points, to go along with six rebounds, while Josie West, Michelle Brunker, Krystal Motley, and Megan Whittaker all had six points to lead UL.

With the win, Denver improved to 16-8 overall, and 8-2 in Sun Belt Conference play, while the Cajuns fell to 5-17 overall, and 0-10 in league play.
