Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team fell on the road in Sun Belt Conference ation on Wednesday night, dropping a 71-47 decision to the Denver Pioneers, in Denver, Colorado.

It was the 16th-consecutive defeat for the UL women, who have also dropped 17 of their last 18.

Denver led it at the half, 37-21, and then coasted to the 24-point win.

The Pioneers out-shot the Cajuns from the field, 46%-43%, and also had a 44-25 rebound advantage.

Denver was led by Morgan Van Riper-Rose, who had a game-high 21 points, while Brooklyn Arceneaux paced Louisiana in a losing cause, with 10 points.

With the victory, Denver improved to 17-11 overall, and 9-5 in Sun Belt Conference play, while UL dropped to 5-21 overall, and 0-14 in league play.
