UL freshman guard Sylvana Okde

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team returns to action on Saturday, when they travel to Troy, Alabama, to take on the Troy Trojans, in a Sun Belt Conference match-up.

Louisiana, who will be looking to snap an eight-game losing streak, lost to North Texas on Wednesday night, 64-46, dropping them to 7-14 overall, and 1-11 in Sun Belt Conference play, while Troy, who has lost ten-consecutive games, currently sits at 3-17 overall, and 0-11 in league play.

Freshmen guards Sylvana Okde and Keke Veal lead the Cajuns in scoring, at 11.1 and 11.0 points-per-game, respectively, while junior guard Joanna Harden paces the Trojans, at 13.5 points a contest.

This will be the first of two meetings between the two teams this season, with the second coming on Febraury 20 at Earl K. Long Gym.

Troy defeated Louisiana last season, 58-58, in Troy, in the only game between the two schools.

The last UL win was back in 2011, a 73-63 victory in Lafayette.

Tip-off time is set for 5:15 pm.

You can catch all the play-by-play action on Sports Radio ESPN 1420, and espn1420.com, beginning with the pre-game show at 5 o'clock.
