Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to action on Saturday, when coach Garry Brodhead’s takes on the Sacred Heart Pioneers in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in the final day of the San Juan Shootout.

Tipoff time is set for 11:15 am.

Louisiana, who defeated Arkansas, 67-59, in the first day of the event on Friday afternoon, is 3-1 on the young season, while Sacred Heart, who beat Coastal Carolina, 71-62, also on Friday night, will enter the match-up at 1-3.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 71.3/52.7, while outshootting them, 44%/36%, and outrebounding them, 40.0/37.0.

Louisiana is led by junior guard Jaylyn Gordon, who is averaging 16.0 points, to go along with 4.3 rebounds-per-game.

UL also features senior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 14.3 and 3.0 rebounds a contest.

Sacred Heart is being outscored by the opposition, 70.0/62.0, while being outshot by opponents, 46%/39%, as well as outrebounded, 39.0/32.3.

The Pioneers are led by junior guard Hannah Kimmel, who is averaging 17.3 points and 9.0 rebounds a contest.
