Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team fell at home in Sun Belt Conference action on Saturday night, dropping a 68-63 decision to the WKU Lady Toppers at the Cajundome.

For Louisiana, it was their third-consecutive defeat.

The game was tied, 29-29 at halftime, before WKU opened up a double-digit lead late in the second half, and then went on to the 5-point win.

The Cajuns played well, out-shooting the Lady Toppers from the field, 46%-43%, and out-rebounding them by a 32-29 count, but WKU hit 20 free throw attempts, compared to only 12 by UL, and that turned out to be the difference in the game.

WKU was led by Chastity Gooch, who poured in 22 points, along with a game-high 11 rebounds, while Kendall Noble added 22 points as well.

Sylvana Okde paced Louisiana in a losing cause, with 16 points.

With the win, WKU improved to 13-5, overall, and 5-2 in Sun Belt Conference play, while Louisiana fell to 10-8, overall, and 3-4 in league play.

The Cajuns will be on the road to take on UALR on Wednesday, before hosting LM on Saturday, February 1.
