Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team is back in action on Saturday afternoon, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad plays host to the Southern-New Orleans Lady Knights in a non-conference affair.

Tip-off time at the Cajundome is scheduled for 4:45 pm, following the UL/Centenary men's contest, and you can hear the game on ESPN 1420 & espn1420.com, beginning with the pregame show at 1:45 pm.

Louisiana, who is a perfect 5-0 on the young season, is coming off of a 65-46 win over Sam Houston St. last Saturday, while Southern-New Orleans, an NAIA school out of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, is currently 5-2.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 67.6/53.8, and out-shooting foes from the floor, 44.3.%/38.7%, while also holding down a 36.8/32.4 rebounding edge.

UL is paced by sophomore guard Jaylin Gordon, who leads the team in scoring, at 17.0 points-per-game, and junior guard Kia Wilridge, who is second on the team in scoring, and first in assists, at 13.6, and 3.7, respectively.

The Lady Knights are being outscored by the opposition, 83.2/70.8, while being out-shot, 43.4%/39.5%, and out-rebounded, 43.0/36.2.

Louisiana leads the all-time series, 4-0, including a 71-49 victory last season.
