UL Women Host Troy – Inside The Numbers
Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to action on Saturday, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad plays host to the Troy Trojans in a Sun Belt Conference affair.
Tipoff time is set for 4 o’clock.

The game will mark the opening game of a men’s/women’s doubleheader, with the UL men taking on Troy later tonight.
The game also marks the second game of a five-game home stand trip for the Cajuns, who don’t hit the road again until Feb. 4.
Louisiana, who defeated South Alabama, 69-50, on Thursday, is 13-3 on the season, including a 6-1 Sun Belt Conference mark, while Troy, who lost to ULM, 77-73, also on Thursday, will enter the match-up with an overall record of 10-6, along with a 5-2 conference mark.
The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 67.2/55.2, and outshooting them from the floor, 42%/39%, while also holding down a 36.1/34.5 rebound advantage.
Louisiana is led by senior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 15.6 points, to go along with 2.3 rebounds-per-game.
UL also features junior guard Jaylyn Gordon, who is averaging 14.4 points and 4.3 rebounds a contest.
Troy is outscoring the opposition, 86.2/78.8, while being outshot by opponents, 44.4%/44.0%, and outrebounded, 40.7/40.3.
The Jaguars are led by senior guard Ashley Beverly Kelley, who is averaging 20.1 points and 5.1 rebounds a contest.
