UL Women Host South Alabama – Inside The Numbers
Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to action on Thursday, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad plays host to the South Alabama Jaguars in a Sun Belt Conference affair.
Tipoff time is set for 5 o'clock.

The game will mark the opening game of a men’s/women’s doubleheader, with the UL men taking on South Alabama later tonight.
The game also marks the opening game of a five-game home stand trip for the Cajuns, who don't hit the road again until Feb. 2.
Louisiana, who defeated Georgia St., 77-57, last Saturday, is 12-3 on the season, including a 5-1 Sun Belt Conference mark, while South Alabama, who beat UT-Arlington, 59-55, also last Saturday, will enter the match-up with an overall record of 6-9, along with a 2-4 conference mark.
The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 67.1/55.5, and outshooting them from the floor, 42%/40%, while also holding down a 36.2/34.4 rebound advantage.
Louisiana is led by senior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 15.9 points, to go along with 2.9 rebounds-per-game.
UL also features junior guard Jaylyn Gordon, who is averaging 14.5 points and 4.2 rebounds a contest.
South Alabama is being outscored by the opposition, 56.7/52.5, while outshooting opponents, 36%/35%, while being outrebounded, 40.5/38.1.
The Jaguars are led by sophomore guard Marquita Daniels, who is averaging 9.7 points and 3.1 rebounds a contest.
