The University of Louisiana women's basketball team jumped out to a 24-point lead in the first half and never looked back, defeating the Southeastern Louisiana Lady Lions, 67-57, Sunday afternoon at Earl K. Long Gym.

The Ragin' Cajuns (4-4) led by 18 going into half time and never trailed the Lady Lions (5-2) to give SLU their second consecutive loss.

UL made 26 field goals, shooting 46 percent (26-of-56) in the contest. The Cajuns forced a season-best 30 turnovers as SLU was held to just 37 percent (23-of-63) from the floor. UL also notched 11 steals and dished out 10 assists, despite being out-rebounded by the Lady Lions, 57-to-21.
