Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team fell on the road in Sun Belt Conference action on Saturday, dropping a 63-47 decision to the FIU Panthers, in Miami, Florida.

FIU led at the half, 31-23, and then outscored Louisiana, 32-24, in the second half, to walk away with the 16-point win.

The Panthers out-shot the Cajuns from the field, 40%-33%, and also finished with a 38-27 rebound advantage.

FIU was led by the 16 points of Jerica Coley, while Keke Veal paced Louisiana in a losing cause with 14 points.

With the victory, the Panthers improved to 9-5 overall, and 3-2 in Sun Belt Conference play, while the Cajuns fell to 7-8 overall, and 1-5 in league play.

Louisiana returns home on Wednesday night, when they host South Alabama.
