Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team won their second consecutive game on Wednesday evening, downing the Troy Trojans, 63-59, in Sun Belt Conference action at Earl K. Long Gym.

Louisiana led at the half, 38-24, and then hung on for the four-point win.

Troy out-shot Louisiana from the field, 39%-36%, but the Cajuns finished with a 46-39 rebound advantage, and also forced 18 turnovers.

Ashley Benjamin led Louisiana with 18 points, with Brandi Schambough adding 16, while Joanna Harden paced the Trojans in a losing cause with a game-high 25 points.

With the victory, the Cajuns improved to 9-17 overall, and 3-14 in Sun Belt Conference play, while Troy fell to 6-20 overall, and 3-14 in league play.

Louisiana returns to the hardwood on Saturday, hosting WKU.
