Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team kept their 2013-2014 early season perfect record intact on Monday night, defeating the Southern-New Orleans Lady Knights, 72-62, in non-conference action at the Cajundome.

The game was  tied, 37-37, at the half, before Louisiana outscored Southern-New Orleans, 35-25, in the second half, to capture the ten-point win.

The Lady Knights out-shot the Cajuns from the field, 43%-34%, but UL finished with a 47-39 rebound advantage, and also forced 29 turnovers.

Jasmin Mills led the way for Louisiana, with 16 points, and 11 rebounds, marking the second-consecutive game she has accomplished a double-double.

Three other Cajuns reached double-digits, with Keke Veal, Brooklyn Arceneaux, and Gabby Alexander scoring 15, 11, and 10 points, respectively.

In a losing cause for Southern-New Orleans, Victoria Davis paced the way, with 16 points.

With the victory, Louisiana improved to 2-0, while the Lady Knights fell to 1-3.

The UL women return to action on Friday morning, when they travel to Huntsville, Texas to take on Sam Houston St., at 11:30 am.
