Louisiana's Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team is back in action on Thursday, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad travels to Mobile, Alabama to take on the South Alabama Jaguars in a Sun Belt Conference affair.

Tip-off time is scheduled for 11 am, and you can hear the game on ESPN 1420 & espn1420.com. Catch the pregame, beginning at 10:45 am.

The game will be the middle game of a three-game road trip for the Cajuns, and will be the opening game of a day/night, women’s/men’s split doubleheader, with the UL men taking on South Alabama at 7:05 pm.

Louisiana, who has won five of their last six games, defeated Georgia St., 63-56, on Saturday, to move to 13-5, overall, and 5-4 in league play, while South Alabama, who fell to Appalachian St, 70-59, last Thursday, is currently 3-15, and 0-9, respectively.

The Cajuns are out-scoring the opposition, 62.1/57.6, while being out-shot by foes from the floor, 41.0%/36.9%, and out-rebounded, 37.7/37.2.

Louisiana is paced by sophomore guard Jaylin Gordon, who leads the team in scoring, at 13.6 points-per-game, and junior guard Kia Wilridge, who is second on the team in scoring, first in rebounding, and second in assists at 12.8, 5.2, and 2.8, respectively.

The Jaguars are being out-scored by the opposition, 63.8/54.1, out-shot by foes, 42.3%/36.2%, and out-rebounded, 40.1/33.1.

South Alabama is paced by senior guard Breanna Hall, who is averaging 13.8 points, to go along with 4.1 rebounds a contest, and freshman center Chyna Ellis, who is averaging 7.9 points and 6.9 rebounds-per-game.

Louisiana will be looking for a two-game season sweep against South Alabama, after winning the first meeting, 65-58, back on January 17 in Lafayette.
