Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team is back in action on Monday, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad plays host to the ULM Warhawks in a Sun Belt Conference affair at the Cajundome.

Tip-off time is scheduled for 5 o’clock, and you can hear the game on ESPN 1420 & espn1420.com, beginning with the pregame show at 4:45 pm.

The game will be the second of a three-game homestand for the Cajuns, and will be the opening game of a day/night, women’s/men’s doubleheader, with the UL men taking on South Alabama about 35 minutes following the women’s tilt.

Louisiana, who has won three-straight, defeated South Alabama, 65-58, on Saturday, is 11-4, overall, and 3-3 in league play, while ULM, who fell to UALR, 79-41, on Saturday, is currently 5-10, and 1-5, respectively.

The Cajuns are out-scoring the opposition, 61.7/57.1, and being out-shot by foes from the floor, 40.8%/39.6%, while holding down a 37.3/37.1 rebounding advantage.

Louisiana is paced by sophomore guard Jaylin Gordon, who leads the team in scoring, at 14.0 points-per-game, and junior guard Kia Wilridge, who is second on the team in scoring, rebounding, and assists at 12.9, 4.7, and 2.7, respectively.

The Warhawks are being out-scored by the opposition, 66.6/61.9, while out-shooting foes, 40.6%/38.4%, and holding down a 37.2/36.8 rebounding edge.

ULM is paced by senior center Sharnice Brooks, who is averaging 13.2 points, to go along with 6.4 rebounds a contest, and junior forward Alayshia Hunter, who is averaging 8.5 points and 5.5 rebounds-per-game.

ULM leads the all-time series, 42-7, with the two teams splitting the two-game series a season ago.
