Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team will continue their 2013 season, as they received an at-large bid into the NCAA Softball Regionals, and will participate in the Baton Rouge Regional.

The Baton Rouge Regional will feature Louisiana, who is 43-13 on the year along with the host school, and #9 national seed, LSU, as well as Northwestern St, and Central Connecticut St.

The Cajuns, who will be making their 15th-consecutive regional appearance, and their 23rd in the the last 24 years, are the #2-seed in the regional, and will take on the third-seeded Northwestern St. Demons, in an all-Louisiana match-up in the opening game, on Friday at 3 pm. Northwestern St., out of the Southland Conference, is 40-13 on the year.

The LSU Tigers, the top-seed from the SEC, who comes into the regional at 40-14, will take on the Central Connecticut St. Blue Devils, out of the Northeast Conference, who currently stand at 35-13, on Friday at 6 pm.

The winner of the Baton Rouge Regional will play the winner of the Ann Arbor, michigan Regional, hosted by the #8-national seed Michigan Wolverines, in the Super Regionals.
