Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns softball team returns to the diamond on Thursday night, when they play host to the Lamar Cardinals in a fall exhibition contest.

First pitch is scheduled for 6 o’clock at Lamson Park.

Fans are encouraged to bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items to donate to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Those food items will be collected at the main entrance of Lamson Park.

Admission to the event is free and concessions will be sold, with parking available at both Lamson Park and Bourgeois Hall.
Former American Idol contestant Ben Boone, a UL graduate, will perform the national anthem.

Louisiana wraps up their fall schedule on Saturday, with the annual alumni game.

The Cajuns open up their 2016 regular season schedule on February 12, in the first day of play in the NCAA Sand Dollar Classic in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
