UL Softball Takes On WKU In Sun Belt Conference Tournament

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team will take on the WKU Lady Toppers on Thursday, in the second day of the Sun Belt Conference Championships in Boca Raton, Florida.

Louisiana, the top-seed in the tournament, advanced in the winner's bracket by knocking-off the host school FAU Owls on Wednesday, 7-1, while WKU, the fifth-seed, pulled off a mild upset by defeating fourth-seeded North Texas, 3-1.

UL swept a three-game series from WKU on April 28-29, winning by scores of 4-1, 2-1, and 4-2.

The Cajuns will come in with an overall record of 47-3, while the Hilltoppers currently stand at 32-23-1.

First-pitch is scheduled for 5:30. It will be the last of four games scheduled in the second day of the event.
