The sixth-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team opens play in the Sun Belt Conference Championship on Wednesday afternoon, when the top-seed Cajuns take on the eighth-seeded FAU Owls, in Boca Raton, Florida.

The game will mark the fourth and final game of activity in day one of the tournament.

Louisiana will be shooting to win their sixth Sun Belt Conference  Tournament Championship in a row, and 12th in the last 13 years. UL has a 39-3 (.929) record all-time in the tournament, including a 4-0 record in last year's event.

The regular season champion has won the tournament every year.

The Cajuns are 46-3 on the season, while the Owls stand at 15-37.

Louisiana swept a three-game series from FAU earlier in the year, winning all three game in mercy-rule fashion, by scores of 21-0, 10-2, and 9-1.

First-pitch is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
