The 13th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team split a pair of games on Saturday in day two of the Diamond 9 Citrus Classic, falling to the 5th-ranked Texas Longhorns, 7-2, before defeating the College of Charleston Cougars, 16-0, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.

In their first game of the day, Louisiana jumped out on top, 1-0, before Texas scored seven unanswered runs, to go on to the 7-2 win.

Blair Luna (9-0) recorded the win for the Longhorns, while Christina Hamilton suffered the loss for the Cajuns.

The win moved Texas to 18-2 on the year, while Louisiana fell to 14-4.

In their second game of the day, the Cajuns routed the College of Charleston, 16-0, scoring six runs in the second inning, and ten runs in the fourth, to win in five-inning, mercy rule fashion.

Shellie Landry and Sarah Draheim each drove in three runs for Louisiana, while Draheim and Kelsey Vincent blasting home runs.

Kristen Martinez (2-1) recorded the win, combining with Jordan Wallace on a five-inning no-hitter, the 81st in school history.

Stephanie Saylors (3-2) suffered the loss for the Cougars.

With the victory, Louisiana improved to 15-4 on the season, while the College of Charleston fell to 7-5.

The Cajuns wrap-up play in the tournament on Sunday morning, facing Illinois St., at 8 am.
