Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun softball team remains at number five in the latest USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll, which was released on Tuesday.

Louisiana won four of their five games last week, splitting a non-conference doubleheader with Baylor, before sweeping a three-game Sun Belt Conference series from the Texas St. Bobcats.

The Cajuns are currently 29-3, overall, and 10-1 in conference play.

This weekend , Louisiana travels to Atlanta, Georgia to take on the Georgia St. Panthers in a three-game league series, with a doubleheader on Saturday (noon), followed by a single game on Sunday (11 am).

The Michigan Wolverines, who are 27-3 on the season, are number one in the poll for the first this year.

Michigan received 17 of a possible 32 first place votes.

Florida is ranked second this week, followed by Auburn at number three, Alabama in the four spot, and Louisiana fifth.

Oregon is ranked sixth, followed James Madison, LSU, Florida St. and Georgia at 7-10, respectively.

The second ten this week consists of Texas A&M, Washington, UCLA, Oklahoma, and Missouri in spots 11-15, with Kentucky, Tennessee, Arizona, Baylor, and Notre Dame in the 16-20 positions.

Finally, at 21-25 this week, it’s Arizona St., Minnesota, Fresno St., Florida Atlantic, and USF.
