Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team is one day away from opening up play in the 2014 Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Louisiana, the #6-overall national seed, will go into the WCWS with an overall record of 49-8-1, winners of 41 of their last 44 games.

The Cajuns will play their first game in the tournament on Thursday night, when they take on the Kentucky Wildcats at 6 o'clock.

This will mark the sixth appearance in the Women's College World Series for the program, and the third time for head coach Michael Lotief, who says the that getting through the WCWS format, and all the great teams that are competing, is a difficult thing to accomplish:
