Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun softball team remains at number five in the latest USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll, which was released on Tuesday.

Louisiana won their first two Sun Belt Conference games last week, sweeping a Sun Belt Conference doubleheader from South Alabama on Sunday at Lamson Park, to extend their current win streak to 12 games.

The Cajuns are currently 19-1, overall, and 2-0 in conference play.

This week, Louisiana plays host to McNeese St. in a non-conference tilt on Wednesday night, before traveling to Arlington, Texas this weekend to take on the UT-Arlington Mavericks in a three-game league series.

The Florida Gators, who are a perfect 26-0 on the season, remain the top team in the poll.

Louisiana will travel to Gainesville, Florida to take on the Gators in a three-game series, April 16-17.

Michigan is ranked second this week, followed by Auburn at number three, LSU in the four spot, and Louisiana fifth.

Florida was a unanimous top pick, receiving all 32 first-place votes.

Alabama is ranked sixth, followed Oregon, James Madison, and Florida St. at 7-10, respectively.

The second ten this week consists of Texas A&M, Oklahoma,UCLA, and Kentucky in spots 11-15, with Tennessee, Missouri, Arizona, Notre Dame, and Baylor in the 16-20 positions.

Finally, at 21-25 this week, it’s Arizona St., Minnesota, Nebraska, Fresno St., and Oregon St.
