Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns softball team is up one spot, to number five, in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll, which was released on Tuesday.

Louisiana won all six of their games last week, sweeping a non-conference doubleheader from Texas Tech last Thursday, before downing Rutgers and Alcorn St., each twice, in the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational over the weekend.

This weekend, the Cajuns are on the road, as they travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to take on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, in a three-game, weekend, non-conference series.

The Florida Gators, who are a perfect 16-0 on the season, remain the top team in the poll.

Louisiana will travel to Gainesville, Florida to take on the Gators in a three-game series, April 16-17.

Alabama is ranked second this week, followed by Michigan at number three, Auburn in the four spot, and Louisiana fifth.

Florida was a unanimous number one selection, receiving all 18 first-place votes.

LSU is ranked sixth, followed Washington, Oregon, Texas A&M, and James Madison at 7-10, respectively.

The second tem this week consists of Georgia, Florida St., Oklahoma, UCLA, Oklahoma, Missouri, and UCLA in spots 11-15, with Kentucky, Arizona St., Arizona, Minnesota, and Tennessee in the 16-20 positions.

Finally, at 21-25 this week, it’s Fresno St., Baylor, Oregon St., Texas, and Notre Dame.
