Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun softball team is ranked 25th in this week’s ESPN.COM/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll.

Louisiana is down three spots from last week’s poll, after going 3-2 in the NFCA Leadoff Classic over the weekend.

The Cajuns return to action this weekend, when they travel to Gulfport, Mississippi for the Gulfport College Classic. UL will play twice on Friday, against UTSA (11 am) and Baylor (5 pm), twice more on Saturday, against Chattanooga (2:30 pm) and Ohio (5:30 pm), and once on Sunday, against Memphis (10:30 am).

Getting back to the poll, the Florida Gators are the top-ranked team for a third-consecutive week, sporting a 16-0 record.

The 13-0 Tennessee Volunteers are up one spot, from number three last week, to number two this week.

The undefeated Arizona St. Sun Devils, who are now 17-0, are up one spot, to number three this week.

Last week’s fifth-ranked team, the Michigan Wolverines, who are at 12-2 on the season, are up one spot to number four this week.

Rounding out the top five is the the UCLA Bruins, who are 16-0, and made a four-spot jump, from number nine last week, to the fifth spot this week.

At spots 6-10, it’s Oregon, Washington, Kentucky, Arizona, and Alabama.

Florida St., Baylor, Oklahoma, Stanford,and Nebraska are in spots 11-15, while South Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, Missouri, and Minnesota hold down spots 16-20 in the poll.

Finally, at 21-25, it’s LSU, Tulsa, Notre Dame, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

Texas dropped out of the poll from a week ago.
