Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun softball team is up two spots, to number 12, in this week’s USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 poll, which was released on Tuesday.

Louisiana, who has won 33 of their last 35 games, is now 41-7-1, overall, on the season, including an 19-1 record in Sun Belt Conference play.

Last week, the Cajuns closed out their 2014 regular season schedule by sweeping the ULM Warhawks in a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference series, extending their current win streak to 12 games, and putting an exclamation point on their 11th league title in the last 13 years.

This week, Louisiana plays host to the rest of the league in the 2014 Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championships at Lamson Park.

Oregon stays in the top spot this week, followed by UCLA, Arizona St., Florida St., and Florida in the 2-5 spots.

The rest of the top ten includes Alabama, Tennessee, Washington, Arizona, and Michigan in spots 6-10.

At 11-15, it’s Georgia at number 11, followed by Louisiana at number 12, with Oklahoma, Missouri, and Minnesota at 13-15, followed by Kentucky, Baylor, Nebraska, Tulsa and Notre Dame in the 16-20 spots.

Finally, at 21-25, it’s South Carolina Upstate, Auburn, South Alabama, Texas A&M, and LSU.
