The 22nd-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team returns to the diamond on Saturday afternoon, when they travel to Mobile, Alabama, to take on the South Alabama Jaguars, in a doubleheader.

The twin-bill will represent to first two games of a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference series.

Louisiana is 18-9 overall,m and 1-2 in Sun Belt Conference play, while South Alabama, who will be playing their conference opener, is 21-4 on the season.

The Cajuns lead the all-time series between the two schools, 12-5, including a three-game series sweep last year, but the Jaguars defeated UL in last year's Sun Belt Conference Tournament finals, 3-1.

Louisiana is led offensively by senior outfielder Brianna Cherry, who is hitting a .405, with seven home runs, and 28 RBI's, while sophomore right-hander Jordan Wallace, who is 10-5, with a 2.06 ERA., headlines the pitching staff.

Junior infielder Julie Moss, who is hitting a .386, with two homers, and eight RBI's, paces the South Alabama hitting attack, while junior left-hander Hannah Campbell, who is currently 9-3, with a 0.78 ERA., is the ace of the pitching staff.

First-Pitch for Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for 1 o'clock, with Sunday's single game also slated for 1 pm.
