Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun softball team is down, one spot, to number ten, in this week’s college softball RPI (Rating Performance Index) rankings, which were released by the NCAA on Monday.

Louisiana had their 9-game win streak snapped last week last weekend, when they went to Eugene, Oregon and fell in all three games of a non-conference series to the second-ranked Oregon Ducks, dropping them to 34-8 on the season.

Three schools from the SEC, Florida, LSU, and Auburn are ranked 1-3, with Oregon and Michigan rounding out the top five.

Alabama is number six, followed by UCLA, Missouri, Florida St., and Louisiana at 7-10, respectively.

Tennessee begins the second ten, at number 11, with Oklahoma, James Madison, Arizona, and Georgia in spots 12-15.

At 16-20, it’s California, Notre Dame, Kansas, Minnesota, and Arizona St.

UCF, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Hofstra, and Washington round out the top 25 of this week’s RPI rankings.

The respective RPI’s for the eight Sun Belt Conference schools has Louisiana (10th overall) first, with South Alabama (29th overall) second, followed  by Georgia St. (38th overall), Troy (58th overall), Texas St. (66th overall), ULM (68th overall), UT-Arlington (125th overall), Georgia Southern (143rd overall), and Appalachian St. (177th overall).
