The 20th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team completed a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference sweep of the Texas St. Bobcats on Sunday, capturing a 6-1 win at Lamson Park.

Down 3-1, UL scored seven runs in the bottom half of the sixth inning, to capture the five-run victory, and complete the sweep.

The win increased Louisiana's win-streak to ten games, and gives them 17 victories in their last 18 tries.

Nataltie Fernandez led the way at the plate for the Cajuns, going 3-for-3, while Samantha Walsh and Shelbi Redfearn both homered, as UL out-hit Texas St., 8-5, with six of those hits coming in the seven-run sixth inning.

Jordan Wallace (11-2) pitched 2.2 innings of hitless relief to notch the win, while Kaylee Garner (1-5), who faced three hitters, without retiring anybody, to get saddled with the loss.

With the victory, Louisiana improved to 25-6-1, overall, and a perfect 6-0 in Sun Belt Conference play, while Texas St. fell to 19-18, overall, and 2-4 in league play.

The Cajuns return to action on Saturday, April 5, when they travel to Bowling Green, Kentucky to take on the WKU Lady Toppers in a Sun Belt Conference doubleheader.
