Louisiana's Ragin Cajun softball team completed a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference sweep of the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Sunday, winning 6-0, at Lamson Park.

Louisiana increased their current win streak to 12 games with the win.

As was the case in all three games in the series, the Cajuns scored at least one run in the bottom half of the first inning, as second baseman Samantha Walsh delivered a two-out single, driving home shortstop Nerissa Myers, to take a 1-0 lead.

Louisiana added four runs in the bottom half of the third inning, as Matte Haack, who started the game in right-field, along with designated hitter Sara Corbello, drove home runs in the frame.

The Cajuns then added an unearned run in the bottom of the sixth inning, with outfielder Leandra Maly crossing the plate, making it 6-0, which is how the scoring ended.

That was more than enough for sophomore pitcher Jordan Wallace (19-6), who was fabulous in the circle, tossing a one-hit shutout. Wallace finished with 18 strikeouts, a career-high, while allowing only three Blue Raiders to reach base.

Shelby Stinnett suffered the loss for Middle Tennessee, starting the game, and lasting only two-plus innings.

Myers paved the way for UL at the plate, going 2-for-4, with two runs scored.

The Cajuns return to action on Wednesday, when they host the Houston Cougars in a non-conference doubleheader at Lamson Park
