Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun softball team is down one spot, to number nine, in the latest USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll, which was released on Tuesday.

Louisiana won two of their three games last week, sweeping a Sun Belt Conference doubleheader from Georgia Southern on Saturday, before falling to the Eagles on Sunday.

The Cajuns are currently 37-7, overall, and 18-2 in conference play.

The Florida Gators, who are 47-4 on the season, are number one in the poll, receiving 24 of a possible 32 first place votes.

Michigan is ranked second this week, followed by Oregon at number three, Alabama in the four spot, and Florida St. fifth.

Auburn is ranked sixth, followed Oklahoma, James Madison, Louisiana, and Tennessee at 7-10, respectively.

The second ten this week consists of Washington, Kentucky, LSU, UCLA, and Georgia in spots 11-15, with Missouri, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, and Fresno St. in the 16-20 positions.

Finally, at 21-25 this week, it’s Baylor, FAU, Minnesota, USF, and UCF.
