Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team won two games on day three of the Sun Belt Conference Softball Championships on Friday in Troy, Alabama, to advance into Championship Saturday.

In their first game, Louisiana won an elimination game, defeating the FAU Owls, 15-0, in five-inning, mercy rule fashion.

Shellie Landry led a 16-hit Cajun offensive attack, going 4-for-4, with three RBI's, while Sarah Draheim, went 3-for-3, including a home run, and four RBI's.

Victoria Brown recorded the win in the first game, improving to 9-1 on the season.

The win improved UL to 42-12 on the year, while the loss ended FAU's season, with a record of 28-29.

In their second game of the day, Louisiana fought of elimination once again, downing the top-seeded WKU Lady Toppers, who were previously unbeaten in the tournament, 3-2.

The Cajuns, who scored all of their rins in the top half of the third inning, were paced at the plate by Nerissa Myers, who went 2-for-4, with a run scored, while Draheim contributed two RBI's.

Jordan Wallace (28-7) got the win, while Emily Rousseau suffered the loss (23-6).

With the win, Louisiana improved to 43-12 on the year, while WKU dropped to 40-15.

Louisiana and WKU will play again on Saturday morning, at either 9, or 10 am, with the winner advancing to Saturday's championship game, which is scheduled for 3 o'clock.
