Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun softball team is up, one spot, to number eleven, in this week’s college softball RPI (Rating Performance Index) rankings, which were released by the NCAA on Monday.

Louisiana, who has won 5-straight games, and 7 of their last 8, swept a three-game Sun Belt Conference series from Georgia St. last weekend, to improve to 30-5, overall, and 15-3 in league play.

Three schools from the SEC, Florida, LSU, and Auburn are ranked 1-3, with Michigan,  and Florida St. rounding out the top five.

Oregon is number six, followed by Alabama, Missouri, UCLA, and Arizona at 7-10, respectively.

Louisiana begins the second ten, at number 11, with Arizona St., Tennessee, Kansas, and California in spots 12-15.

At 16-20, it’s Kentucky, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Texas.

UCF, Mississippi St., Washington, James Madison, and Washington round out the top 25 of this week’s RPI rankings.

The respective RPI’s for the eight Sun Belt Conference schools has Louisiana (11th overall) first, with South Alabama (28th overall) second, followed  by Georgia St. (43rd overall), Troy (57th overall), Texas St. (66th overall), ULM (70th overall), Georgia Southern (137th overall), UT-Arlington (145th overall), and Appalachian St. (182nd overall).
