Colten Schmidt recently wrapped up his collegiate career with the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, but the Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year continues to make headlines.

Schmidt earned his 2nd All-American honor yesterday when he was named a 2nd team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings.

He is the eighth Ragin' Cajun to be named a ABCA/Rawlings All-American in the last 5 seasons.

Schmidt, who finished his senior campaign with a 7-0 record and a league-best 2.45 ERA and 90 strikeouts, was named to the Collegiate Baseball All-American team last month.

Two weeks ago, he was drafted in the 23rd round by the Colorado Rockies.
