Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Monday evening, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad plays host to the Delaware St. Hornets, in non-conference action.

Tipoff time at Blackham Coliseum is scheduled for 7 o’clock.

The match-up will serve as the second game of a short two-game homestand for Louisiana, who are on the road to face Virginia Tech on Wednesday afternoon.

The Cajuns, who beat Panhandle St., 117-47, last Friday, is 1-2 on the young season.

Louisiana is outscoring the opposition, 91.3/72.3, and outshooting them, 45%/41%, while also holding down a 45.7/33.3 rebound advantage.

The Cajuns are paced by junior forward Bryce Washington, who is averaging 16.0 points, to go along with 10.3 rebounds-per-game, and junior guard Frank Bartley, who is averaging 14.3 points and 3.3 rebounds.

Delaware St., a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, lost to UMBC, 90-66, last Wednesday, and is currently 1-2 on the season.

The Hornets are outscoring opponents, 77.3/73.3, and outshooting them, 46%/43%, while being outrebounded, 39.7/35.3.

Delaware St. is led by senior guard DeAndre Haywood, who is averaging 18.0 points and 2.3 rebounds-per-game, and junior forward Kavon Waller, who is at 12.7 and 4.3, respectively.
