The second-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun baseball team returns to the diamond on Tuesday evening, when they travel to Hammond, Louisiana, to take on the Southeastern Louisiana Lions in non-conference action.

The game will mark first of a home-and-home, back-to-back series, as the Cajuns will host the Lions on Wednesday night at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

Louisiana is coming off of a 3-1 week, including winning two-of-three games over the weekend against Texas St. in a Sun Belt Conference series, and is currently 39-6 on the season.

Southeastern Louisiana, who was swept in a Southland Conference series by Sam Houston St. last weekend, is currently 27-17 on the year.

Offensively, the Cajuns are hitting a .321, with 51 home runs, 334 runs batted in, and 68 stolen bases.

Louisiana is paced by Caleb Adams (.390-10-30) and Jace Conrad (.379-6-45), who are currently 1-2 in the Sun Belt Conference in hitting, with Seth Harrison (.356-9-47) also placing in the top ten.

The Lions are hitting a .275 as a team, with nine homers, 207 RBI's, and 69 steals.

Southeastern Louisiana is paced by Jameson Fisher and Andrew Godbold, who are hitting a .360, and a .329, respectively.

Pitching-wise, the Cajuns bring in an overall team ERA. of 3.25 into the match-up, while the Lions are at a 2.86.

Senior right-hander Matt Hicks (5-0, 1.86 ERA.) will make the start on Tuesday for Louisiana, with the Southeastern Louisiana starter still TBA.

The Cajuns, who have won the last two meetings between the two schools, lead the all-time series, 59-46.

First-pitch is scheduled for 6 o'clock.
