Mark Munoz (12-2) vs. Chris Weidman (8-0)

Munoz is running a 4-fight winning streak after defeating wrestlers Aaron Simpson and C.B. Dollaway, BJJ phenom Damian Maia and the durable Chris Leben. Weidman is undefeated in his career and has taken the majority of his UFC bouts on short notice. He turned heads when he made quick work of Tom Lawlor, defeating him by choke in the first round of their bout. He further cemented himself as a prospect when he defeated Demian Maia in a fight he took on ridiculously short notice.

Munoz, however, will be the first true test of Weidman’s wrestling. Munoz has been on a tear, going 7-2 in the UFC, and is definitely just a couple of wins away from a title shot. Although it’s wrestler vs. wrestler, Munoz’s striking and Weidman’s relentless submission attempts should make for one exciting bout.

James Te Huna (14-5) vs. Joey Beltran (14-7)

The battle of the brawlers. Te-Huna, who lives in New Zealand, has dynamite in his hands. The man can strike. After being cut from the UFC, Joey Beltran dropped to light heavyweight and won a fight at C3; here he steps in as a late replacement for Brandon Vera.

Aaron Simpson (11-3) vs. Kenny Robertson (11-1)

Simpson is looking to get a win under his belt after finding himself on the wrong end of a split decision in his last fight against submission specialist Ronny Markaes. Robertson is stepping in as a late replacement for Jon Fitch. He has only had one fight in the Octagon, when he lost to Mike Pierce by 2nd round TKO in February 20122. He won a bout in a local promotion since then. Robertson hasn’t come close to defeating anyone of Simpson’s caliber, so this should be a pretty easy win for the A-Train.

Karlos Vemola (9-2) vs. Francis Carmont (18-7)

A wrestling champion in the Czech Republic, Karlos Vemola holds notable wins over Seth Petruzelli and Stav Economou. He also defeated Mike Massenzio in his middleweight debut last April. Francis Carmont, who trains out of Tristar Gym, defeated Chris Camozzi and Magnus Sedenblad in his only UFC bouts.

T.J. Dillashaw (5-1) vs. Vaughan Lee (12-7-1)

Although he lost to Johnny Dodson in the Ultimate Fighter 14 finale, Team Alpha Male prospect T.J. Dillashaw rebounded with a victory over Walel Watson at UFC on Fuel TV: Sanchez vs. Ellenberger, showcasing great wrestling and submission skills. Vaughan Lee lost to Chris Cariaso via split decision in his UFC debut, but most recently defeated Norifumi Yamamoto via 1st round armbar. He was the first person to submit Yamamoto in his entire MMA career. An intriguing matchup.

Anthony Njokuani (15-6) vs. Rafael dos Anjos (16-6)

Njokuani was originally scheduled to face British lightweight Paul Taylor, but Taylor suffered an injury and was replaced with BJJ black belt Rafael dos Anjos. Dos Anjos is coming off of a submission victory over Kamal Shalarus, whereas Njokuani most recently defeated John Makdessi by decision.

Alex Caceres (6-5) vs. Damacio Page (15-7)

Although he was quite the character in his stint on the Ultimate Fighter, Alex Caceres has a checkered UFC record, and is coming off of a split decision loss to Edwin Figueroa. Damacio Page is a much more seasoned veteran, but is riding a three-fight losing streak, with all three losses coming by way of submission. Don’t count Cacares out in this one; he’s scrappy on the ground. Page, however, is likely fighting for his job. Very few fighters can lose four in a row without receiving walking papers.

Chris Cariaso (13-3) vs. Josh Ferguson (8-4)

Submission specialist Josh Ferguson is coming off of a loss to Roland Delorme in the Ultimate Fighter 14 season finale. Cariaso has more experience under his belt and is making his flyweight debut in this scrap.

Rafael Natal (14-3-1) vs. Andrew Craig (7-0)

Craig is undefeated in his career, and made his UFC debut as a late replacement for Jared Hamman, defeating Kyle Noke by decision. He will be looking to showcase his skills against Natal, who will look to build on his two-fight winning streak.

Marcelo Zilio Guimaraes (7-0-1) vs Daniel Stittgen (7- 2)

Guimares, who trains out of Brazil at Caveira Top Team, will be making his UFC debut when he faces Daniel Stittgen. Prior to this bout, he won the Jungle Fight middleweight championshions when he defeated Lucas Rota by rear-naked choke nearly a year ago. Stittgen was unimpressive in his UFC debut in February, losing to Stephen Thompson by 1st round headkick. Both of these fighters have something to prove.

Raphael Assuncao (17-4) vs. Issei Tamura (7-2)

Assuncao is a BJJ black belt who just made his bantamweight debut in his last fight, where he defeated Johnny Eduardo by decision. Tamura trains alongside Kid Yamamoto in Japan.
