Middle Tennessee received an at-large bid to the Women's NCAA tournament, giving the Sun Belt Conference two representatives for the second straight year.

MTSU, the regular season champion, suffered a huge loss when Lady Raider Tina Stewart was killed just days before the Sun Belt Tournament.  MTSU lost in the tournament quarterfinals to Arkansas State.

The Raiders received a #11 seed and will play Georgia.

Meanwhile,  tournament champion UALR is seeded #12 and will take on Green Bay in their first round game.
