U.S. Attorney Stephanie A. Finley reported two men were sentenced in unrelated methamphetamine-related cases.

Alwyn N. Stewart Jr., 35, of Houston, was sentenced to 20 years in prison, and five years of supervised release, on one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Stewart would provide the drugs to co-conspirators in Winn Parish and arrange for the transport of the loot to Louisiana. The other conspirators were previously sentenced.

In another case, John W. Davis II, 54, of Bossier City, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, and eight years of supervised release, for possessing with intent to distribute five or more grams of methamphetamine. Agents were led to search Davis' home on Oct. 2, 2014 when they found seven bags, containing 480 grams of pure methamphetamine hidden in a shaving kit on his porch and under his bed.
