What does senior leader Tyler Girouard have to say about Ragin' Cajun Baseball's chances in the Houston Regional?

After a tragic loss to start off the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, Girouard and his fellow Cajuns battled back to claim the automatic bid and a Sun Belt Conference Championship. Last year's team called themselves grinders, but former players like Jace Conrad, Caleb Adams and others are starting to use the term for this time around as well. High praise from a group that coined it.

Girouard, more oftenly referred to as "Shugg," is responsible for what Head Coach Tony Robichaux refers to as the turning point of the season. After a rough stretch of games, Robichaux told his team on the bus that his staff wouldn't give up on them. Shugg was the one who shouted back, "Coach, we're not going to quit!" On the arms of a freshman pitching staff and a lineup that lost most of its statistical output, the Cajuns find themselves back in another NCAA Regional.

The NCAA Regional berth is enough to say this team exceeded expectations already, but Girouard and his teammates want to keep making some noise.
