Two Weeks Left in the Sun Belt Season

After Monday's action, there are two weeks left in the Sun Belt basketball regular season.  Most teams have four games remaining, some have only three.  Here are the scores from last night and games remaining.

GEORGIA STATE 67, TEXAS STATE 51

TROY 76, APPALACHIAN STATE 66

Here are the games remaining as we go to the final two weeks

UTA (21-6, 11-3)--South Alabama (Sat), Troy (Mon), at ULM (March 2), at LA (March 4)--UTA has won seven in a row.  It's right there in front of them, now.

ARKANSAS STATE (19-8, 10-4)  Georgia Southern (Sat), Georgia State (Monday), at Troy (March 2), at South Alabama (March 4)--Red Wolves are unbeaten at home this season, but big tests await.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN (17-11, 10-5)--At Arkansas State (Sat), at Little Rock (Monday), at Georgia State (March 4)--Two out of three should get them a bye...but it won't be easy.

GEORGIA STATE (17-10, 10-5)--At Little Rock (Sat), at Arkansas State (Mon), Georgia Southern (March 4)--See Georgia Southern above.  But the Panthers get the Eagles at home.

COASTAL CAROLINA (14-14, 9-6)  Louisiana (Sat), ULM (Mon), at App State (March 4)--Schedule is favorable to move up if someone falters.

TEXAS STATE (15-11, 8-6)--Troy (Sat), South Alabama (Mon), at Louisiana (March 2,) at ULM (March 4)--The Bobcats have a big one on Saturday.  Trip to the Pelican State won't be a picnic.

TROY (16-12, 8-6)--at Texas State (Sat), at UTA (Mon), Arkansas State (March 2)  Little Rock (March 4)--Hottest team in the league not named UTA.  The bye is a long shot, but no one wants to play them right now.

LOUISIANA (16-11, 6-8)--at CCU (Sat), at App State (Mon), Texas State (March 2,) UTA (March 4)--Road trip is crucial if they want to avoid the 8-9 matchup.

SOUTH ALABAMA (13-14, 6-8)--at UTA (Thurs), at Texas State (Sat), Little Rock (March 2), Arkansas State (March 4)--Tough slate.  They'll hold on to the 8-9 spot if they take care of Little Rock.

LITTLE ROCK (13-14, 4-10)  Georgia State (Thurs), Georgia Southern (Sat), at South Alabama (March 2), at Troy (March 4)--They've lost three straight and the remainders are tough. Without question, the league's most disappointing team.

APPALACHIAN STATE (8-18, 3-12)--ULM (Sat), Louisiana (Mon), CCU (March 4)--Three at home where the Mountaineers have played everyone tough.  They could move up a spot...or finish last

ULM (7-20, 1-13)  at App State (Sat), at CCU (Mon), UTA (March 2), Texas State (March 4)--Five of their losses have come either in overtime or by three points or fewer. Texas State and UTA should not overlook them.
