The Associated Press poll and the Amway Coaches' Poll agree on the top six teams in college football.

Alabama strengthened its hold on the top spot after dominated Vanderbilt, while both Clemson and Oklahoma played closer than expected games against lesser opponents.

The Tigers remained second after pulling away from Boston College late, and Oklahoma stayed third after struggling to put away winless Baylor.

Penn State, which got a last second win over Iowa, is fourth, followed by USC and Washington.

Georgia became the second team from the SEC to jump into the top ten after dominating Mississippi State.  The Bulldogs are ranked 7th in the AP poll and 8th in the coaches' poll.

LSU remained 25th in the AP poll after their win over Syracuse and went up one spot to #22 in the coaches' poll.
