Two Coaching Changes On LSU Football Staff

LSU head football coach made two changes to his staff on Thursday, one day after National Signing Day.

Orgeron, who will be entering his first full season as head coach for the Tigers in 2017, fired wide receivers coach Dameyune Craig, while re-assigning running backs coach Jabbar Juluke to another position within the LSU athletic department.

The 42-year old Craig, who was a quarterback at Auburn during his playing career, began his college coaching career at LSU as a graduate assistant in 2004, and then spent one year in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins in 2005, before returning to the college ranks, where he has worked for Tuskegee (2006-2007), South Alabama (2008-2009), Florida St. (2010-2012), Auburn (2013-2015), and LSU (2016) since.

2017 will mark the 4th-consecutive year that LSU will have a different receivers coach.

Juluke, who will remain with the LSU athletic department in an unknown capacity, was the head coach Edna Karr from 2003-12, before service as the running backs coach at Louisiana Tech from 2013-2013, prior to arriving at LSU.

Both coaches have contract that run through 2018. Craig was scheduled to make $575,000 in this year, while Juluke was slated to earn $275,000.
