Troy defensive player Dimitri Miles was arrested Sunday and booked on a murder charge.

The 21 year old played for the Trojans in 2011, but was academically ineligible this year.  He was not on scholarship, according to reports from al.com and cbssports.com.

He is being held on $100,000 bond.  According to the reports, 26 year old Marquise McClendon was found by Troy Police suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Miles was immediately suspended from school and dismissed from the football team.
